Conveniently located in downtown Winston-Salem, the Benton Convention Center will serve as host for all conference activities.
NCGIS2025 has partnered with the Winston-Salem Marriott to offer discounted rooms to attendees. The conference rate is $189 per night (ends 02/17/25). Regular room rates will be charged starting February 18th, 2025. There is an additional parking charge of $25 (valet) or $20 (self) per night.
Parking is available via the Embassy Suites / Marriott parking deck & the Sixth – Cherry/Trade Street parking deck via climate controlled walkways. Hotel parking rates are $28 (valet) or $20 (self) per night. Rates for public parking are $1 per hour or $9 per day for these locations.

The registration rate for the full conference is $400 until February 3, 2025. Beginning February 4th, the rate will increase to $475. Daily registration rates are $225 and $275 respectively. Students may attend the full conference for $150 or attend a single day for $75.
Yes, on-site registration will be available at the conference. However, you get the best value by registering in advance. If you do need to register on-site, just come to the registration desk inside the Benton Convention Center.
Yes, single day registration is available. But, if at all possible, please register for the entire conference. We would love for you to join us and get all of the benefits that this event offers.
Yes, students may attend the full conference for $150 or attend a single day for $75.
Yes, the speaker rate for the full conference is $250. The daily rate is $200. There is no late fee for speaker rates.
Payments made by check must be postmarked by January 17th, 2025 to secure the regular registration rate. Your outstanding balance will automatically increase to the standard registration rate after January 17, 2025. Please make the check payable to “NC DIT” and mail the payment to “PO Box 17209, Raleigh, NC 27619-7209” with a copy of the registration form showing attendee’s information.
State employees using “NCFS”, prepare InterGovernmental transaction to “NCFS DIT Supplier Number 119138, Site# IGO.103 (NCFS 4100)” and attach registration form to this IGO transaction in NCFS for each attendee. If you have questions, please email them to DITAccountsReceivable@nc.gov.
We hope you will be able to join us for our first in person conference since 2019. However, we understand things come up. Full refunds will be available if made by January 13th, 2023. A 50% refund will be given for cancellations made before February 4th, 2023. No refunds will be given after February 4th, 2023.

Yes, you may receive APA, PMA, or GISP credits for attending NCGIS2023. Attendance certificates (digital) will be made available for download shortly after the conclusion of the conference.

Credits may be awarded by visiting the APA website (https://planning.org).
GISP:
Credits may be obtained per the documentation requirements of GISCI. Additional credits are also available by entering the poster contest.
PMA:
Property mappers can also obtain credits for attending the conference.

Lunch will be provided on Wednesday and Thursday.
Breakfast will be offered on Thursday and Friday.
Beverages and snacks will be provided during breaks throughout the conference.
